Debrahlee Lorenzana Too Sexy for Her Job
Apparently, it is possible to be too sexy for your job. Debrahlee Lorenzana claims she was fired by her bosses at Citibank because they told her she was too good-looking and drew too much attention. She says other female employees got away with far more provocative clothing — it’s just the way she fills hers out.
“They were showing their cleavage, they were wearing mini skirts, and I wasn’t doing any of that,” she says. She claims was given a list of inappropriate clothing items that she was not to wear. It included things like turtlenecks, pencil skirts, fitted suits and 3-inch heels: “basically what every woman in New York wears to go to work,” she says. But on her, her superiors allegedly said it was “too distracting.”
The 33-year-old single mother who moved from Puerto Rico to find work has always been a head turner. Elizabeth Dwoskin of New York’s Village Voice describes her this way: “At five-foot-six and 125 pounds, with soft eyes and flawless bronze skin… a head-turning beauty.” (See more photos of Debrahlee.)
Lorenzana says that this is the first time her looks have gotten her fired. Her professional efforts have received rave reviews, awards and citations from companies like the Municipal Credit Union, Metropolitan Hospital in Queens and Bank of America.
But the Citibank branch in Manhattan’s Chrysler Building was different, she says. She believed that she was hired, during the height of the financial crisis, for her competency, but then one of her female colleagues let it slip that the branch had a reputation for hiring attractive females, and they knew she’d get the job the second she walked in.

The Federal Reserve is not a government agency – it’s a privately owned bank group. It was set up in 1913 at the urging of wealthy international banksters who convinced the Roosevelt administration that our currency and economy would stay more stable under their “system”. Since that time, the US Dollar has lost 96% of it’s value (inflation), we’ve had a depression, many recessions and now we are headed into another depression! Some job they’ve done, huh?
If that doesn’t make you angry enough, our constitution states that our currency is supposed to be issued and regulated by Congress. Thomas Jefferson even said that if private banking interests were allowed the issue of currency, that posed a greater threat to the nation than a standing army!
That is why we must support HR1207, the bill to audit the Federal Reserve. Right now, the Federal Reserve can do anything they want, they are accountable to no one, and they keep printing trillions and handing it out to favored banks and their Wall St. friends – and it’s all tallied up at debt WE owe THEM! We must stop this! We are in GRAVE DANGER of defaulting on the national debt and our currency collapsing.

Citigroup was telling customers it has the right to prevent any withdrawals from checking accounts for seven days. Effective April 1, 2010, we reserve the right to require (7) days advance notice before permitting a withdrawal from all checking accounts. While we do not currently exercise this right and have not exercised it in the past, we are required by law to notify you of this change, Citigroup said on statements received by customers all over the country.
The seven day notice policy only applies to customers in Texas – That is what Citigroup is saying right now. Except one problem. The notice of this went out on everyone’s statement no matter where you lived. So this could come up and bite you in the wallet or purse – NO matter where you live! Sounds like Citibank is beginning to use Obama talk. Are they tell the truth or are they? I can’t tell the difference with Obama & now with Citigroup????
Folks if you have your money with Citibank I would advise you to withdrawn every penny before April 1st, 2010. If you leave it, you run the risk of not being able to withdrawn any of your money. No matter how much you have in your account! If you have money with them in anyway I would run redlights to get to the nearest branch. Then worry about the tickets later. At least you would have your money to pay the ticket! If you wait, the CEO’s of Citigroup may be the only one having access to your money….

Shares of Citigroup plunged more than 30 percent Friday after the U.S. government reached a deal with company officials to convert up to $25 billion in bailout money into common shares.
